No, I would never say Bose are good, they are not, but Polk Audio really makes some good speakers.
By the way, what ever happened to Soundcraftsmen Tuners and amps?, I bought a Soundcraftsmen Tuner T6200 , and found out a few years ago
that the company is no longer in business.? Anyone with any info about Soundcraftsmen?

Polk made excellent speakers...years ago, and those speakers are still great. Today, their speakers are good but maybe not quite as competitive as they could be. Below the RTiA line, I was less than impressed and your recommendation is based on something that is at least 20 years old.
are you serious?imy first speakers were Polk Audio Monitor 70 and I must say the sound is amazing even when driven whith only 90 watts(Marantz sr 5004),these speakers are rated at 275 watts.so do the math and I don't use any subs at all.I must add that a friend of mine had a pair of Infinity Primus, the question is ,I sold him the Marantz but he was not happy with the sound(Marantz+Infinity Primus),but guess what,i upgraded my speakers to RTI A7 and lucky he I sold him the Monitors as well.He was impressed by the change,he can hear the difference in every detail.I'm sured that there are other more expensive speakers in the market that sound better than the polks but I am a polk fan and for the price range and sound quality I consider them among the best!

YES, I am dead SERIOUS. Wattage rating, especially on an inexpensive speaker, is completely meaningless, so there's no math involved LMAO. I've listened to the TSis and the Monitors and they don't do it for me. The cabinets are cheaply built with very thin wood and no bracing, the drivers are pretty standard for the range, and they just don't impress me, but that's my opinion. No real complaints about the RTiAs though.

Moral of this story; Yes they might sound awesome to you, they may be the best sounding speakers you have heard. Always assume there is better ones out there but don't ignore your ears, your opinion is what matters!!

Keep in mind, hero, that speakers are a personal preference. One can like what they want and dislike what they want. Some here have listened to a wide variety of speakers before forming their opinions. Mr. Garcia didn't "trash" them. He was quite polite and restrained in stating his opinion.

And, we are all free to share our opinions without being attacked.

This is exactly my point. Many people feel polk speakers are of very good quality.
And the Polks of today are also getting very good ratings.

Wow. I really think some of our new guests might be more comfortable at the Polk Audio Forums where never is heard a discouraging word, and the skys are not cloudy all day and where I honestly think you came from.

...particularly since you resurrected a thread that's been dead for nine months simply to sing praises to your god. What, did you do a search on "Polk"?
