One word for the OSU's offense: Anemic. Troy Smith is a great tailback, but he just can't seem to complete a pass as QB. I can't remember the last time we've had a QB that could actually hit a target. That includes Craig Krenzel. IMO our defense won that national championship in '02. OSU always has outstanding defenses, but as far as "O", forget it.

I am happy for Joe Paterno though. At his age, and the last few years, I didn't want to see him get boo'ed out of office. I hope PSU goes far this year. Hopefully OSU can land themselves in the Toilet Bowl this holiday.

Texas looked outstanding this afternoon. I'm glad to see them get that OU monkey off their back. USC on the other hand didn't win with flying colors IMO. Those points came late in the second half. It's a good thing they have a running game.

Jax, I would have thought you'd be out partying (I'm sipping on some cheap wine after that letdown). I honestly didn't comment on Michigan because I knew you'd chime in. Our teams can hang it up this year.

I hope ND whips USC next weekend.

That's wishful thinking. USC is invincible right now. I don't think ND has what it takes to beat USC.

I have followed (read been tortured by) the wolverines for 30 odd years now). This is the worst team they have had perhaps with the exception of a mid 80s team that was 6-6. This is the absolute worst defense since before Schembechler. Can it be that Penn State is for real?

Sorry, Buckeye, but I was glad to see the old man win. I hope he wins a n'tl champ and retires. Both teams have a D. I picked Joe-no (I like it better than JoePa) to win by 6. Close enough. Maybe my team (Clemson) can salvage a toilet bowl invite as well. They went down like cheap lard after the OT losses, especially the first to Miami. It should have not made it that far, but Charley missed a wide open guy in the endzone at the end of regulation. Oh, well. I am a big ACC fan. They are doing pretty well this year, so far.

Hockey? The best thing that happened to hockey was last season getting cancelled.

Did anyone watch the Michigan v. Penn State game on Saturday? I must say, it was the 2nd best football game I've ever seen. Second only to Michigan's victory over MSU last year

It was great to see you Friday at the jug. It pales only in comparison to that fabulous game. The only thing close was in 1981(?) when Indiana coached by Lee Corso took the lead with less than two minutes left. Anthony Carter catches a 40 yard bomb at the twenty and fakes out or outruns five guys to the endzone and the big house goes beserk. It still makes polls of the greatest plays of all time. UM-PSU was certainly a better GAME though and I'm glad I drove 500 miles to see it.
