Clash Of The Titans on BluRay (July 27)

Anyone planning on adding this to their collection. I missed this movie when it was out. How were the special affects and sound?

Rental at best. Best Buy already sent me an email saying this would be coming out, so they are trying to get the numbers up for this one. The 1981 version is on sale right now too at Amazon and BB. I'd probably buy that one before I bought the new one.

The original one - IMO - is far, far better than the remake though.
The only aspect this trashy remakes wins, is on the visual effects and that couldn't be different anyway (comparing 1981 to 2009).

I saw this in 3D in the theater and felt like I should have asked for my money back at the end.....

If you saw the trailer and heard the only 3 words of the script that count, "Release the Kraken", you know the whole thing. I admit to having seen it in 3D; my wife and I had seen several talky European movies in a row and wanted to see something that required little thought or attention. COTT certainly satisfied that urge and sent us scurrying back to the arthouse. There was something unbearably odd and laughable about seeing Liam Neeson in shiny armor, trying to be Zeus.

Ok thanks for the warnings...I'll leave that as a rental and not bother to pick it up.
