Wow, that sucks. I've gotten to see Springsteen and the E street band once and it was a hell of a show.

I thought this was a great comment:

I can't imagine the E Street Band and Springsteen without the Big Man. His sax lines always have hit the right counterpoint and been an essential part of made the sound what it is. I wish him the best, but his medical facts don't bode well for a return to performances. This could be the end of an era.
