basically another bashing thread

Not saying that a couple of folks may not have been treated badly. However, they should take the store to task & demand satisfaction from the corporate office. Not trying to defend the "big bad chain" & not a huge fan of the products C.C. stocks. However, I've purchased numerous items from them and went back for price matches and they've always made good. They'll even price match and still make good on their store rebates, something most other stores would never do (effectively doubling the savings on some products).

Anyway, my point is take the individual stores to task, don't trash the entire company. I'm probably in the minority here, but I hate to see the vulture instinct take over.

On the other hand, I agree that "customer service" can be hard to find these days. However, I find this more universal, not limited to a few big chains.

Oh, believe me, I have been treated very badly, lied to, shouted at, insulted at, even vaguely threatened with.

And talking to the corporate office was exactly what I did. But it took almost an hour on the phone with the corporate office to get the matter resolved.

"Bashing thread?" You bettcha this is a bashing thread. Since when has it become a crime to vent one's dissatisfaction with a commercial entity in a public forum?

Its a shame Khellandros66 was banned, he had a great story involving Best Buy.
He was never banned. Look at his past posts - they don't say "banned". He has PC issues apparently and can't log back in. We tried to help but have no idea why he can't get it.

What he get banned for.......suggesting to make you a moderator?
That would almost be a good enough reason. :)

If that's really true, I hereby declare that a vote to ban Sheep is in order. After all, the thread on Sheep as moderator had a lot of hits.

All joking aside, Sheep, my humble advice is to stop instigating, and begin by stop responding to the Administrators and the Moderators posts. Your running post tally seems to be proliferating because of that, and jfyi, I think you're the only one who is counting your post tally...quality vs. quantity.

Let's face it, some of your posts are pure drivel and poppycock, and while I truly have enjoyed reading some of your posts, it's getting to the point where I must divert when Sheep is around...some of your posts are downright insulting, instigative, and juvenile. If it's the liquor talking, perhaps you should find another pastime when you are drunk. Are you really proud of some of those posts? You may want to start deleting (yes, that's possible), even at the risk of allowing zumbo to take "the lead."

Let's keep it helpful and fun, but not any of that other stuff. Just my humble opinion.

LOL just had a "run in" with one of the "Geek Squad" personnel at BB over a camera.
I purchased it, Canon A60, two years ago and bought the "service plan" at the same time...thought I bought the "replacment plan" but the moron clerk put it in wrong and the moron buyer did not realize it until 2 freakin' years later...Well the camera has not been working correctly lately, lens cover does not always open all the way and the auto focus not does always focus grrrr...

I brought it to BB last week and the GS clerk looks it over...the lens cover works now of course grrrr...says the lens cover seems to be working but the focus does not seem to be...then he says since he can't verify there is a problem he can't send it in for repair...I tell him he just said the focus is not working and I bought a 4 freakin' year "service plan" and I want freakin' service or my $40 bucks back...I also mention I am angry enough to make a very loud and ugly scene and he better call security now...the poor kid looked like he was going to cry...he wrote up the repair ticket and off it went...

My neice works there as well and when I replayed the incident she said he would now get yelled at by his boss for writing up a repair that he could not verify...I told her that he said he could see the focus was not working...that is verification...she said he would still get yelled at because they do not want to honor/take back merchandise that needs repair even though there is a "service repair contract".

I can not wait to see how this turns out...hopefully my camera will be repaired and I will be satisfied...if not I and my wife do enjoy creating loud and unfriendly scenes as well as following through...I bring a notebook and start out by writing down the name of each person and their title, date, time and take notes of exactly what they say...boy they turn purple quickly and usually hurry to satisfy just to get me and my trusty notebook out of their store...that is also why I usually try to buy at small, locally owned businesses.

Sheep,
there's no need to response to all posts that hit or seem to degrade you. At some point, you will see that silence can indeed prove you are right. It will also make you look more mature...Just a piece of advice...

Peace,

Well stated masak_aer!

I would just add that one sure can prove his ignorance by spending his hours "proving he is right." Like Audioholic's maxim states: "Pursuing the Truth..."; that is a maixim that can truly be extended to life. Who amongst us is so arrogant to believe the pursuit has stopped, at least for himself. Notice the present tense of "Pursuing." I think the Audioholics staff made a good selection when choosing that tense of that adverb.

One need not a masters degree in forensics to see a when an argument (or conversation) is prematurely and abruptly terminated by another. There are all sorts of acronyms that can (and should) be used: imo, imho, jfyi. In the case of jokes and humor, when it is clear a multitude of posters do not find it humorous, out of respect and consideration for others, one is well-advised to clearly state that he is joking; then only the careless reader risks being offended.

Just a little philosophy exercise for monday morning. A good day to all!
