I imagine I'll be there for her first beer, at least she already enjoys smelling her dads scotch, which gives her more of a refined palate then me, that stuff is paint thinner as far as I'm concerned.

Yup. I never understood why they made "The sorcerers Stone" in the US.

I made my own Christmas this year as I always do. I changed purchased all new components for my main A/V System. The funny thing is I pretty much never use it because it is in my living room.

I replaced a 40" Sony Bravia XBR LCD for a 55" Samsung DLP.
I replaced my B&K AVR-307 A/V receiver for a DENON AVR-4308CI A/V receiver.
I added a Samsung BD-ES6000 high end SMART Blu-Ray Player to my existing Sony BDP-S570 and Sony DVP-NC85H up scaling 5 disc DVD Changer.

My speakers remain the same, Martin Logan CLS front channel speakers. B&W CC speaker, JSE Infinite Slope 2 RC speakers and a Velodyne ULD-15 old school sub.

I'm also planning on changing out my Denon AVR-3805 on my secondary system to something around the range of the AVR-3808CI.

Now all I have to do is sell my two receivers. Lol

From what I read, the publishers in the U.S. didn't think that kids here would be interested in (or was that understand?) a book with the word "philosopher" in the title. Too intellectual, maybe? I don't know, man. I don't know.

After the first one, though, the author refused to let them change from the originals. That's the benefit of having that much success.

Season Pass to Snowbasin and a Kindle Fire HD. It is really nice, but not quite as good as the projector. Some candy, a multitool (Porter Cable). And some other stuff.

Got the new kicks I was promised.. I went to 4 shoe stores to find the color/style shoes I wanted in my size and none had them. I even had 4 different styles I was looking for. In the end I said screw it and just bought the most comfy shoes they had in my size. $168 later, this is what I've got lol. Usually my shoes are straight black or black/grey if I'm feeling crazy. This will be a change. I usually get a pair of shoes every 2-3 years, but because I don't like the color I may end up buying another pair in the next year..

Hmm, got some gift cards, some poo pourri, t-shirts since apparently wearing ones with holes in them is "uncouth", a knit/fleece rastafarian monkey hat with built in mittens, some nice saw horses, a dewalt table saw, and a little giant ladder.

I got underwear. Yes, at my age, I got underwear. 4 pairs of plain boxers. Not even fancy prints with skulls or spiderman. Just plain boxers. Even at my age, opening up plain underwear still is a kick in the jimmies.

My in-laws did get me a new 19.2V two-speed cordless drill. That is pretty cool. Kids picked me out a Harry Potter LEGO set. Not bad.
