I have a chordette gem and I am using it thru its bluetooth capability and have an Outlaw 990 processor. I set the processor to bypass mode to be able to use the chordette's full capabilities.
Someone told me the worst I can do to music is to stream it using bluetooth from my iMac.
There is another option to hardwire thru a usb A to B cable.
The problem for me to hardwire is that my iMac is on the second floor.
Do they make a-b USB cables at sixty foot lengths?
Would the sound quality be a noticeable improvement?
Also exactly what a-b usb cable am I looking for...there are many varieties.

Thanks

The Chordette Gem is the first in a new range of lower cost products designed to integrate within any existing HiFi system. The Gem has our unique Bluetooth Audio receiver technology to allow the transfer of music from a Bluetooth enabled phone, PDA or personal computer. The addition of a USB port also allows direct streaming of audio from a PC.

Before getting into improvements etc, 60 feet is a bit past what you can expect USB to work for. You'd have to use one of a few methods to overcome maximum distance such as active cables.
