hey guys. I'd like to know which of the two should I get: Yamaha YST-SW1500 sub or Sony SA-WX900 ?
Any other suggestions are welcome. Price range, about that.
Thanks

You have some nice stuff already so i would wait until you can get a nice SVS or HSU for 600 bucks or even less. Those are just two suggestions as many more to look at.

You don't want to skimp and get either of those two subs...it will just add boomy, inaccurate bass.

Either live without a sub, or save up for something good like SVS/Hsu or any number of the better sub makers. Go for a SVS PB-10 for $429 as a minimum.

I would also advise against either Sony or Yamaha for subs or speakers in general. I question when a manufacturer who specializes in one field (electronics) ventures into another (speakers).

Stay with a specialist brand. Velodyne is a good possibility. I would highly recommend REL (British) if available in Greece.

have you ever heard of REL? they are in the world class market and start at affordable prices and stop at the 4000 pounds region. i have the 201e model and it shakes the house and i am yet to use the 200 watts amp.

Here's a picture...
Better than my 15" $500 Velodyne, but won't compare to a $500 cylinder SV Subwoofer. For a 12", it's tight, not boomy. Very very powerful 350 watt amp, probably too much for the woofer, but the woofer has a 70oz magnet. Cadence makes top of the line car audio equipment - thus the only reason I trusted them to buy a home sub. I wasn't disappointed. It fills my 18' x 32' room nicely.
