well i sold my old stereo and im lookin to buy a new one .. got a crown xs-500 and a pyle mixer/mp3 player and i have the option to sell it but i dont know if i wanna sell it or keep it and get a pair of cerwin vega dual 15's. the bad boys but i also had the idea to scrap all that hardcore power and watts and go with a Marantz SR8500. its the only thing i can find that i like .. im limited to websites that sell in canada because duty is too unpredictable when buying somthing like that. wish i could still have the dual cerwins cus i like big speakers but im open to sudgestions if n e one has n e ? i love pretty much n e thind with a beat and as you can tell by my name i love the base. an outside opinion would b very nice also. i was thinkin bout jus gettin all cerwin for my home theater i liek cerwin dont know y jus do lol. if i was to go with the home theater then i sopose id have to get a nice pioneer plasma to match it o well.

You don't need that nice of an AVR (Marantz) to power two huge CV's. Those are perfect for rock, hip hop, etc... They won't go low enough to really enjoy HT bass. So basically, you need to decide if you want to go the music route with huge mid bass (slam style, good tactile punch), or the higher end HT route with your Marantz SR8500 - great AVR BTW. With the Marantz, you would focus on smaller bookshelf style speakers - one's that aren't as demanding as those huge CV's which really benefit from a pro amp like you've got. Then the focus would be a great HSU VTF-3 sub instead of the CV's. I'm only telling you this because I had morphed out of the big musical speakers in my college days to an HT style setup. You can get great sound out of smaller speakers, but I know what you mean by big speakers - that club sound just hits you in the chest unlike most HT setups.

ive actually been doin some lookin and im startin to like those klipsch speakers i kno they got wut it needs but seems weired from goin from a pair of cerwin vega e715's to 2 er 3 smaller speakers .. but better quality dont kno if it would have as much thump tho .. like i mean the kinda thump that when u get in a car thats got a good system in it (where you can feal it in ur chest) but stil have a good quality for mids and highs too
