Cheap receiver with pre-outs?

Can anyone give me recommendations on a cheap AVR with pre-outs? I'm thinking ~$200 or lower range. I don't really care about video sources as it's only used to connect up my various audio devices. I currently have a Denon AVR-588 but there's no way to hook it up to my new amp.

So your just looking for a preamp/source selector? If your absolutely not doing video wait until my review of this:

http://www.mavaudio.com/store/index.php/home/tube-magic-dac-d1.html?SID=5sdu7n4utnsjfac0ale2k4ndh5

USB/Optical/Digital Coaxial/RCA Source selector and tube DAC.

Otherwise you could probably pick up a Yamaha V663 on ebay for $300 or less used. Excellent receiver with preouts and a dedicated 2ch mode "Pure Direct"
Am I right in reading there's a tube-amp bypass that just does solid-state pre-amping? That looks like a neat toy to pair up with my McIntosh 2120!

Forgot to mention, needs to have subwoofer pre-out as well, so 2.1 at minimum.

That Maverick DAC looks like it's 2 channel only so, as nice as it looks, I can't use it :(

Hmmm...I think you should swing the extra money for a V663 then. If not, I'd have to do a little research to find a suitable receiver then. Cheaper receivers with preouts are harder to come by below $300.

EDIT: BUT I do have a Denon AVR-1802 with preouts I'm selling for $100. No HDMI/component but excellent unit for 2ch plus a subwoofer preout. No box to ship it in though.

I'd take Zaluss up on that if he can find a proper box, since you don't need the video stuff anyway.:) Another goldie that many liked was the Pioneer VSX-816. I'm sure it would be under the $200 mark and it also has preouts (just in case the Denon doesn't fall through). The Denon is the better deal here I think, again if Zaluss can find a proper box.

Yeah I don't think I'll be able to find a box for it to safely transport it.

The Onkyo 705 has pre out on all the channels. May be available, refurb, for your price, not sure.

Any factory refurbished Harmon Kardon AVR-2XX should do the trick for you.

??????????

Well maybe not arround your house, but I refuse to believe you can't find one. I guess I could understand just not wanting to do it because it's sort of a pain in the rear to do.
