Cheap banana plugs?

This brand is cheaper but I don’t know if they connect as well. I’m using sewel already $33 vs $25. I see it’s mostly irrelevant what I pick haha sorry for all the repetitive questions..

Like most things from China, products are finished to the specs of the buyer and the last ones are far more crude than the ones I have bought from Parts Express (you should enter Parts Express and look for Amazon resellers)- the ones I posted about look like the last ones, but are black and much more refined. That sounds unimportant, but the last plugs look like the plating could peel off and not only would it be bad for preventing corrosion, it's also very sharp and can cut skin very easily.

Yeah I don’t see much reason to pay for more mono price on Amazon the selections horrible , I have a few of the third style not a fan of them cheap and open sides ..
I searched for mono price didn’t find much on amazon.

You're looking for a name brand and Parts Express sells their own brand, on Amazon as well as their own site. I linked to this in my first post, but apparently, you haven't clicked on it. It's from PE and it's one of the plugs I have used.

Oh my bad I thought of mono-price that’s a Totally different brand.
On Amazon the parts express cost $9-11 a pair it’s way more expensive then anything else i was looking at. I need 6-12 pairs .
Maybe I should wait til I have more money or or try something random lol

Or, you could save your money and not use them at all, as I wrote. You're not going to hear an improvement, so why bother?

Check the price- they're about $10 for two pairs. Those others with all gold looked like crap, though.

If you want quicker speaker connections I recommend twisting the wire into a tight, straight forma and then tinning them with solder. Not only does it make things easier it also prevents stray strands from shorting on anything and they take less damage from disconnecting and connecting.

Yeah I don’t know much of anything about soldering and don’t have one, you mean I should do it prior to using bananas or do it instead of them?
Could my speaker wire be oxidizing without soldiering…
Do you use banana plugs?

I just twist the wire ends, insert into the speaker terminals and screw it down. Been that way for years. Same with the back of my AVR. But, to each their own. Make sure your speaker wire is 99.9% copper.

One of mine is Dayton, the other is thinner Dayton marked with + signs no indicator of the awg. I can check if they’re 99.9% copper. I’m using the thicker cable not that it makes a difference ehh 14 vs 18 awg probably?

I use those, they're good. My old speakers wouldn't accept standard bananas, only BFA style. These are much better than Sewell IMO. Unfortunately, they are unavailable, but I have a few sets

I don't like the type that screw in from the back, they ALWAYS come loose after a while. The set screw type are better, whether banana or BFA. BFA are fragile though, one good pull and you can bend or break them. I have only had one get damaged once though.

Instead of them. No plugs. I use tinned wire ends inserted into the holes in the binding posts and then scres them to be secure. It is easy to see if copper oxidizes because the turns green.

So you have to soldier the wire to tinn it? I don’t have a soldier yet never used one. I guess plugs are for convenience connections directly aren’t that challenging I’m worried they will oxidize quicker??
But tinning stops this ?

I like banana plugs, I like the locking ones that are sonically welded to the BlueJeans cables I use, so much so I just placed order for 4 pairs for my M106s
