Usually you choose an amp to suit the speakers rather than the other way around. Just what are the amp's "capabilities"?

A pair of full range speakers, that's what's best for that amplifier. They don't need to be floor standing, a lot of medium size speakers from that amp's era had 10" to 15" woofers. You can easily find a pair on Craigslist for cheap and restore them. You may not have to spend even $100 total to do it.

See Kenm10795 knows what I mean. Something more compatible with the amp. I understand that in most cases u look for and amp that is best compatible with the speakers u have but in my case that would be a surround sound for the sub witch u know the surround sound it's for comes with a sub and a boom box for the other speakers. I on the other hand want to keep the receiver and amp I have and get the speakers that best go with it.

Mind u it is an older one so instead of having a dial for bass a dial for mid and a dial for treb it has a graphic eq to better dial in the different ranges. It definetly gives the user a chance to fine tune the eq to their sound prefrance
