12" wide 12" deep can go a little more on deapth and about 33" high but they will start 15" up off floor so 33+15 =48 don't want to go much higher. thinking of yamaha ns6490 as they got good reviews there a little smaller then my yamaha ns344s which are 40 years old and still sound pretty good

cv 10 verses a6-6t6

two alternatives to consider, if your budget will stretch.....either will blow C-V away for critical listening

Elemental Designs
http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?t=2&products_id=624

Ascend Acoustics
http://www.ascendacoustics.com/pages/products/speakers/cmt340m/cmt340m.html look for their special pricing of "B-stock" 340 SE speakers

create a shelf within the built-in to get the tweeters as close to "seated ear level" as possible.

good luck
the a6-5t6 are about $80.00 less than cv10 thanks waxey

The CV speakers seem to be very good especially when it comes to bass, but I've never been able to get over the orange speakers surrounds....

I'm looking to replace pair of Yamaha NS 344 I've had for 30 plus years to go with my Yamaha RX-V 1800.I like the sound of the 344 but its only 70 watts per chanell. the CV cls 10s may be the answer not sure yet. I don't need rea lly large speakers, but I like 3 ways for fronts.Any sugestions appreciated Thanks Waxey
