Center speaker

Hello All, I'm looking to finish up my Primus surround set and I'm trying to pick a center. (I listen to a lot of music)

Has anyone done any tests between the C250 and the C350. Is the C350 worth the extra $50?

I'll take a shot at this. I'm putting something together myself. You state that you listen to a "lot of music". Why do you think you NEED a center channel speaker at all?

It is my understanding that the center channel is primarily for dialogue. Dialogue is heavy in the midrange frequencies. The C350 is a 3 way speaker having 2-3" midrange speakers. If I were buying a center channel for what it is intended for, I would think it would be worth the extra 50 bucks to have clearer and more forward dialogue when watching movies.

The 250 is a straight horizontal mtm, never a good choice.

The better centers have the tweeter/midrange aligned vertically. While the 350 doesn't have a true vertical aligned tweeter/midrange, the tweeter is above the midrange and will provide much better dialog.
