I would like to solicit this forum for your input on a quality Center Speaker. I have narrowed my choices to either the Paradigm cc570 or the Vandersteen VCC-2 (though I have have not actually listen to either). I am influenced by the fact the I own both the Vandersteen Model 3's and 2c's (so I know their sound and related quality). I have also listened to various Paradigm speakers and an certain taht if I didn't own Vandersteen, I would have purchased Paradigm's.

I am using Yamaha Amps to drive the system (MX1000U for the Vandersteens and RXV1700 for the center and surround channels).

Neither of these speakers are "easy to find and/or listen to" (certainly not Vandersteen and most likley not alongside Paradigm. While I can appreciate Vandersteen's "exclusiveness" - I very much dislike their distribution network. Regardless, I welcome any and all opinions.

P.S: Does anyone have a Yamaha MX1000U for sale or be willing to trade same for a Yamaha RX-V1 receiver?

Thanks

Sinse you already own Vandies, the choice should be pretty clear to you. Did you ever hear the phrase "timbre matching"?

My thoughts exactly. Unless you intend to switch the whole front end to Paradigm, I'd go with the Vandersteen.

Vandersteen it is!

Points well taken (and not much different than I expected). Though, I was curious to see if anyone could or would offer a different perspective.

Thanks to all for your feedback!
