Center Speaker Impedance

Hi, I have 4ohm center and front tower speakers, while my 4 height and 2 rear speakers are 8 ohms.
I see in the Yamaha A8A literature you can have 4 ohm fronts, does that include the center speaker?

Of course the center speaker is a front sound producer in your system. Also if your AVR has a speaker impedance switch, just keep it set to 8 ohms to take advantage of the full power capability of its amplifiers.

Have a read of the following thread by Gene explaining the reason why some manufacturers suggest impedance switching. Gene is an electrical engineer and a reliable source on this:
