Center channel stand

I bought a center channel stand from AV123 when I put in my order for rockets. Well, I guess during the wait time the stand became "discontinued". They are trying to get me to purchase a different one but it will be an additional $32 and I don't want to pay the difference. Anyway, I am wondering if you folks can point me to a good 16" - 18" center speaker stand. I am hoping to only spend around $60. I'm willing to adjust my price if the stand is worth it though.

If you haven't tried already, I'd ask them to suck up the difference and send you the new stand without you paying any more. After all, you placed the order in good faith when they had that stand, and you are still buying speakers from them.

I agree with Adam, they should give you the replacement stand at the same cost of the one you ordered. If they will not honor this, Rack&Stand is the place to look.

Sanus makes a steel 18" center stand. It can be filled with sand or lead shot as well.

AV123 should give the difference to you as part of their current sale

AV123 is having a big sale now, they should give you the replacement at no cost.

Question how big of center are you looking at, the BigFoot?

LOL I had to rebrace my shelf when I added my CLR3000 (55 lbs) it was bowing down and resting on the tV. At least my shelf wasn't bowing glass, like Adam mentioned in another thread, bowing glass is scary

I'm waiting to hear from AV123 to see what they say. I emailed them and stated that I shouldn't be paying more for a different stand. We will see what they do. I always hear about how outstanding the service is from them...I'm putting it to the test.

I'm definitely checking out the websites you each suggested as an alternative if it turns bad.

The stand I need is for the Bigfoot...and it will go under my projector screen. The one I am considering is slightly different than the one you linked to as that one was 13" and I need it to be 16".

Hmm, there do not seem to be a plethora of choices on-line. I was at one point considering a center stand, a while ago, and I thought this one was pretty sharp looking. However, its over budget, and an inch too high.

Great news...AV123 came through. I guess the additional charge was an oversight and they are not charging me any extra for the different stand! I'm still an AV123 fan
