Center channel options...VMPS, Martin Logan, Paridigm, anything else?

Newb to the forum here.

I'm not really missing anything in my center and rear channels, with the exception of they sound like boxes. I prefer the smooth quality of ribbon type drivers which is what my 2 channel listening is.

What would you recommend for center/surrounds?

Here's the rig (don't make fun of my antiques):
Marantz AV9000 pre/pro
Pioneer Elite DV-79 (my "new" piece)
Mits wd52825
Front L/R - Carver Amazing Platinums powered by Denon POA 6600 monoblocks
Denon POA 8300 for center/surrounds
Currently running old Paridigm center/surrounds.

I always liked the VMPS boxes back in the day. I see they have a center channel now.

The new Paridigm stuff is great as far as conventional drivers in a box is concerned.

I'd have to travel a couple hours to hear Martin Logans offerings.

Never did like the B&W sound.

What have you heard, what do you like???

Your center should be the same brand, and timbre match the mains. Same with surrounds, but especially important for center speaker.

Don't worry you are not missing anything if you have not heard the stage or theater i.

Thanks. I forgot about Maggies. I've been out of the loop for a few (or more) years. 2 hour one way drive to hear those. Think I'm gonna give 'em a try.

Same brand for all 5 speakers is not an option. My music is all 2 channel, and I've found as long as you have quality speakers, you can blend them pretty easily for home theater.

So that's one ney for the ML's.
