CD Player-- please help?

My high-end CD Player (Had very, very good sound) always had problems; now it completely died on me. It had iPod compatibility, and a headphone jack, and I don't want to buy a whole new CD player. From experience, the quality of CD players have been declining in dependability, and I can't use it with my iPods since I lost both on a bus even though I play over 200 CD's. I listen to instrumental jazz, and I live near people who play rap/hip-hop all night (They stream Pandora usually), so I end up getting no sleep without anything to at least provide a distraction to that music. I would normally use the heaphone jack built in to my CD player, since the only problem is that it can't read CD's. Does anybody know of a cheap-ish CD reader that isn't necessarily easy to use, but will at least not stop reading CD's within a couple months? Thanks!

Any DVD or BD player will be fine for you. Don't go looking for a dedicated CD player.

The reliability of CD player is inversely proportional to its cost.

Actually CD reader or DVD reader is an optical device, which has an optical lens which reads your CD or DVD, it works on the principle of light reflection and refraction.

So the optical device that is the lens has its own life and it will definitely stop reading CDs after some time say after 10000 full CD readings

So if you are looking for a CD reader which do not stop reading CD whole CD, it is not possible at all. Yes good quality CD/ DVD reader are there like samsung, lg, sharp etc..
