97 Taurus-

Watched a video on this and seems the demise was the popularity of SUVs and the rise of the Camry etc. What was sorta unique/gaudy about this is everything is round including the interior. Even the back window is circular. I think the 3.0 Duratek was a pretty solid engine if I remember right. The Vulcan might have been in the '97.

SUV killed this car because it was the SIZE of an SUV without the benefits of a SUV. The only one that was good IMO, was the SHO with the Yamaha motor. It was a big, floaty attempt at being cool, but it wasn't.

Made my day. Saw a Geo Metro on the highway. Amazingly tiny, but the thing can move!:)

If the cars older than me it probably won’t run. I know I don’t anymore. Walking is hard enough.

Definitely an odd one for its time. Docu said the Pontiac uppers wanted 40% or so of the vehicles to have that "unique" quality. Or just weird. It was marketed for the young, and the car came with a tent which could be set up on the back LOL. There was also a removable cooler between the front seats. The car video I watched both drivers said it was rather zippy considering its small size. Yeah 3.4L 185hp. Going for the sorta off road thing. The Buick Rendezvous sold better, but if you want plain weird LOL.
