so your saying that because I knew what cable was in the system, I can not believe my ears ?!
Even though I wanted the cheaper cable to work better in my system.
You would THINK that I would say Blue jean because I can't hear ant difference!
So then auditing any piece of equipment is flawed because I know what I'm listening too ??

If you got out of your chair and walked to where the connections were made, had to bend over, kneel and get up, then do
any physical work to complete this, your hearing will not be
exactly as it was when you listened to the first cables unless you can verify your BP before each test. It's nit-picky but inner ear pressures make a big difference and I'm sure you know how your hearing changes when you have a head cold. That's why the listener should have someone else make the changes.
Double-blind testing has been used for decades and is the only way to not bias the results in a subjective test.
