Seriously, I have no life.
Not really...believe me, I WANTED the Blue Jean cable to win so that I could sell off the cardas.
But every time the Cardas was Bigger sounding deeper Bass a Bigger "Sound Bubble"
Just more info coming through. The Blue Jean was a smaller leaner sound smoother on top then the Cardas where as the Cardas was not forgiving of bad sources but the connection to the Music was better then the Blue jean.

There is no measurement for sound stage with. or depth .
Just because you can't measure it does not mean you don't hear it.
trust your ears...its all that matters!
Wire is wire my friend, the electrons don't care who made the cable. It is all a con after that.

MMMMMMMMMM......Lets see. Play one set of interconnects and speaker wire then swap both and play the same tunes at the same volume. take notes on each. repeat to confirm findings. My ears tell me the winner.... not the price payed.
Boy...that sure is flawed. BTY...If you system is not up to par then of course you will not hear a difference.

My system
manley pre and power amps
Tannoy system 10
If you swap speaker cable and interconnects at one time, there's no way to tell which made the difference. The only valid test would be to have someone swap one at a time without the listener knowing which is being used at any time. Best if the person swapping doesn't know, either.

so your saying that because I knew what cable was in the system, I can not believe my ears ?!
Even though I wanted the cheaper cable to work better in my system.
You would THINK that I would say Blue jean because I can't hear ant difference!
So then auditing any piece of equipment is flawed because I know what I'm listening too ??
No offence But...
You know how dumb that makes you sound ??
If you got out of your chair and walked to where the connections were made, had to bend over, kneel and get up, then do any physical work to complete this, your hearing will not be exactly as it was when you listened to the first cables unless you can verify your BP before each test. It's nit-picky but inner ear pressures make a big difference and I'm sure you know how your hearing changes when you have a head cold. That's why the listener should have someone else make the changes.

Double-blind testing has been used for decades and is the only way to not bias the results in a subjective test.

Go do the same test with coat hangers please. Only then will the results be valid.

Why is it ???
Did you even read my post ??
If I said the the Blue jean was the winner then what would say ?
It would be still not possible and still a flawed test. That is what I'd say.

Yep, you got it. You cannot trust your perceptions when you know which cable/component you are listening at that particular trial if you are trying to determine if there are audible differences.
As for being dumb, perhaps you should expand your knowledge base on the subject of bias and human psychology before you jump off your cliff.

The fact that you wanted the Bjue Jeans Cable to win means that you were biased toward them. The fact that you found the Cardas to sound different means you listened with more than your ears and that's not how a valid test works.
