Car audio for Honda Civic

I recently got a new to us 2000 civic, that has the original speakers (Paper, it sounds like) and an aftermarket Alpine deck. I was looking to update this and was wondering if anyone know of decent car speakers and decks. that won't break the bank.

I saw on fleabay that Harmon is selling some of their refurb / bstock items:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/Vehicle-Electronics-GPS-/3270/m.html?ssPageName=STRK:MEFSXS:MESOI&_ssn=harmanaudio

Not sure if these would be a good deal for this application, or if crutchfield would be a good place to go.

I wanted to replace the deck. It is a 15 year old? Alpine. I wanted a deck that had decent power, but I have an older 10" Boston Acoustics sub with an active and passive sub that I could use. There was a 5 channel amp that Harmon was selling for $179, that would power this + the other 4 channels. So, it may be good to buy this and get a deck that doesn't have much power.

What I was looking for in the deck. Bluetooth, to connect to my phone, or usb. Decent sound, MOSFET Amp (If using this), if external (don't matter), radio, HD? (Not sure if this is a thing anymore), CD (Maybe), aux output (If no USB or bluetooth), and any other cool features else. Satelitte (No).

Here is the budget
Front Speakers $0 - $100. 6.5" will fit, I think, they are in the door at the bottom.
Rear Speakers $0 - $100 6x9" wil fit, I think.
Deck $100 - $200, if can get deck ~ $100 would be better
Sub, Have, or if there is something I cold replace the Boston with (About 10yrs old)

So, if any of you are good with car electronics. Let me know what you think?

This is more of a home theater forum and not really a car audio forum.

But, I'll give you a little info.

Personally, I've always been very happy with the bang-for-buck from Kenwood. I've also been happy with Pioneer and Audiobahn.

And, you really can't go wrong with Rockford Fosgate, but you will pay for it.

Back when I had my 2003 Civic Si, I ran Kicker KS series components & coaxials, a JL Audio 12" W3 2-ohm in a 1.53 cubic foot sealed enclosure driven by a Pioneer DEH-P7800MP receiver and Infinity Kappa Five 5 channel amplifier (50W x 4 @ 4 ohms, 300W x 1 @ 2 ohms).

Funny you posted that question, because I'm planning my system for my 2008 Civic Si. :)

Just ordered some kicker 6.5" for front and 6x9 for the back. . Ill get those installed and then very a new deck and amp. And. sub. . I have a 10" Boston acoustic sub with a passive sub in the same box. Would it be good to replace the Boston sub with a new sub, or keep it?
