I am trying to put together a home theater system for cheap... my wife and I just had a baby... I am going to set everything up in the garage and make it into the "guys room." I just bought a panasonic 900ae projector and now I am working on the sound system.

My close friend offered to sell me his Canton LE 150 CM (center speaker) and two LE 130 speakers. He hardly used them due to moving shortly after purchasing them. He says that they are just sitting in storage and I should pay him whatever I think is fair... well this is tough cause who knows what "fair" is and I don't want to be cheap. Unfortunaitly there really isn't many comps online. So I guess my question is;

1. What do you think of these speakers???
2. How much would you pay for them???
3. As for the LE 130 would you put them in the front or the back... I had always invisioned tower speakers in the front so I was thinking I would use them for the rears.

Thanks for any help you can give me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I always seem to vouche for Cantons, SO Ill of course do it again. I just bought the LE150CM about 2 weeks ago, and also have the LE170's for a couple of years. Starting with the LE150CM, I just paid 350ish new for it. So that should give you an Idea what its worth new. The LE series have a very natural sound IMO espically compared to there replacement the GLE's. The 130's would work for fronts untill you could come up with the money for a set of towers. But if you can name youre price for them, Id say jump on them. If you dont like them Id probably take them off youre hands :D BTW what finish on them?
