Can't get Marantz NR1402 to work with Synergy remote

I'm trying to get my Synergy IV remote, model RT-U61CP, to work with my Marantz NR1402. All I really need the remote to do is turn the receiver on/off and control the volume. I've tried programming it by entering the codes I found online(282 - 286) as well as by point and press programming, but neither seem to work. Any ideas?

Try using the codes from a different marantz receiver. The on/off and volume codes should be common among almost all of them. I had a similar issue with the new Sony PS3/universal remote not working with any of the built in codes for my TV.

It says there that you can get the remote codes from Time Warner.

The codes I tried were from TW. I guess I'll have to live with it or find a different remote that will work with the receiver.
