I have a RCA HD61LPW162. It Supports HDMI. My cable box has A DVI 1.0 slot. I connected a HDMI/DVI cable to them and i thought i was doing great, when my TV came up and told me that my TV doesnt support HDCP. I Dont have a clue as what to do next. Do they make adaptors that supports the HDCP or am i hopeless and should exchange the RCA for one that has them? I oredered it from Bestbuy.com. for right now i have the HD hooked up thru Component AV. its not bad but i want HDMI/DVI!

There is nothing you can with your current equipment to make this work since your cable box is HDCP compliant and your TV is not. You will need a new TV that is HDCP compliant to make this work with your cable box.

your tv does support hdmi/hdcp its probably that your going dvi from cable box to hdmi on the tv. your tv also supports cable card is this an option?

Your best option is exchanging the tv for a mits dlp. it has a much better picture and it has an hdmi connection. It has the atsc tuner built in and a few other features the rca doesnt have. Like I said, the mits is night and day better than the rca. Look at the reviews. Sound and vision magazine rated it the best tv this year.
