Can't find bulb for RX-V670

Hey all,

I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction. I've googled and searched online parts shops to no avail.

The display on my Yamaha RX-V670 has gone out, and I've deduced that it's just a blown out bulb. I pulled it from the back of the receiver (pictured below).

Does anyone know where I can get the whole wire/plug/bulb, or even just the bulb? Or, even if you just know what type of bulb it is....

**darn, I can't embed pics since i'm new, so please cut and paste the links below and add a W.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

I'll look around a bit, but if we can't find the replacement for you, then I'd suggest taking that to Radio Shack and seeing if they have a bulb that will fit it.

Based on a quick Google search, I came across this page that led me to this replacement bulb. That bulb is for the RX-V850, but it might work.

If you can get a service manual for that receiver, or find a site with a parts list, then that should tell you the part number of that bulb/wire.

A quick search reveals that this is a 14v bulb, the best bet is getting the service manual and it will probably give you a spec on the bulb itself. Mouser will have the bulb you need.
