A couple of comments:
1. Basshead could have been a "dissatified customer" of SVS. What I like to call "unreasonable" expectations. A common problem is somebody trying to take advantage of a financial situation, or turn a financial situation to their advantage.
(For me it is usually somebody in Europe or Africa that wants my company to dummy up a false (lower) invoice for tax payment purposes in their country .... Yea, like I am willing to ship a container of 100,000 dog pooper scoopers to Europe, falsify the invoice and state that we shipped only 10,000 dog poop scoopers, and lower the selling price from $333 to $3 per dop pooper scoopers .... When we refuse to partake in their little tax evasion scheme, we get bashed across various forums.)
In his case, he is in Canada, and a part of me suspects a little "unreasonable" expectation on his part was behind his rants. SVS refused to play financial games with him, or refused to allow him to extend, modify, or adjust their policies regarding returns. It may not have been a truly devious game on his part, he may have just requested SVS fully refund his freight and processing costs if he purchased and did not like their equipment, and SVS refused .... following corporate guidelines .... and became the devil himself in the process.
2. Shills promoting various companies are more common than people suspect. A lot more common. Not all of the promotion is devious, but the promotion exists neverless. I like to call it "trolling for customers". A bit like the street walker working the corner of Main and Suburb. A least she is obvious as to what she is doing.
