I had to leave the theater the first time I saw Cloverfield. It is unclear whether it was the shaky camera work or the epic hangover I was riding. Maybe both...

If I don't move, the hangover can't see me...
You guys obviously never watch any pr0n. That's all handheld camera stuff.

I loved The Bourne Ultimatum, "John Adams" and District 9, as well. The shaky camera stuff to me makes certain movies more realistic.

I really didn't care for the hand camera shooting in Bourne Supremacy, but they dialed it back and did a much better job in Ultimatum. The hand held aspect of it in Cloverfield didn't bother me at all. It is part of the story - they wanted it to look like you were watching something that looked like it was real.

Cloverfield did have some great LFE, but I'll never watch it again. It's a one trick pony and the irritation that I could live with one time, was too much for a 2nd go round with my wife. I don't mind shaky cam if it blends seamlessly with the action and enhances the scene. It's like too much salt if overused or even if you consciously notice it.

Cloverfield had some interesting bass. You need to hear Kung Fu Panda with that puppy as well.
I Have kung fu panda on a standard DVD but havent watched it with my PB13 yet. "edit"Actually I dont have it I thought I did I must of rented it, but I do have ice age in BD AND SHREK LOL
My kid tried to get me to watch that movie with him....

PUKE !!!

I also can't stand that shaking camera cr@p... He sure got the house a shakin with it though, while I was doing stuff around the house...
The LFE was my favorite or up to the top out of many that ive seen but yes the shaky camera takes some getting use to , I even get dizzy playing call of duty at my friends and can only play for short periods at a time so I was really suprised I was able to watch the whole movie but its Like I got use to it after a while but at first I was oh **** this isnt good im getting dizzy and then when the first explosion/bass scene I was all better lol :D
