Can I amplify my computer's sound card sound with a Harman Kardon PA2200?

Hey!

Sorry for disturbing and bad english, but I'm brazilian and I'm not very used with english. I know it's a newbie question, but I want to know if it's possible to connect my computer sound card with a Harman Kardom PA2200, and output it all for my Pure Acoustics MAC500B bookshelf speakers! Is that possible or I'll need something else? If it's a stupid idea, can you give me a better one? Thanks for attention!

Peace,
Eduardo Barth.

Hi, Eduardo. You certainly can do that if your computer audio jack is controlled by the volume control on your computer. The Harman Kardon amp has no volume control, so you'll need one somewhere in the loop. If your sound card has 3.5mm audio output jacks, you can use a 3.5mm-to-RCA cable to connect it to the amp (like the one shown in the picture below).
