Hi Guys,

Guys,

If I pick up a Pioneer 95 blu-ray player & and lucky enough to get my hands on Integra 9.8 pre-pro too...My TV is the older Pioneer CRT projection 1080i via component. (no DVI no HDMI)

Can I connect both the HDMI and component outputs on the Pioneer 95 blu-ray player outputting at the same time? Run the component output to the 9.8 pre-pro or directly to the TV. Enjoy 1080i video and the latest audio codecs via 9.8 (HDMI).

My worry is that if you output 1080i blu ray video from the 95 player on component...only Dolby digital is available on optical and the 1.3 bitstream is off since you are not using the HDMI only output on the 95.. my fear not true?

thanks Vince

For what it's worth, the BDP-95 has a six channel analog output, so if you can't use component and HDMI at the same time you still can listen to the high resolution audio.
