I need to connect an AppleTV, Xbox and BlueRay DVD player to one HDMI port. I would like the HDMI switch to also have an IR port because I have a universal HDMI port. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!!

Welcome to the forum!

If what you want is an HDMI switch box that has an IR sensor for a remote control, then I suggest that you check out the offerings from monoprice.com like this one here.

I can get behind the Monoprice HDMI switchers as being quality product. I've used them regularly on many of my jobs. They have issues with hooking up to a PC and properly passing EDID information, but they do solid with HDCP and standard A/V devices.

Seriously, I have no life.
What do you mean by IR port?
It's a 3.5mm jack that accepts a cable from the RF transmitter, main controller or, in the case of some brands, the A/V receiver. It avoids having the IR emitter on the face of the piece and any command issues that are caused by ambient light which could go in through the IR receiver. Personally, I think all equipment should have a port for IR commands.

I will also recommend the Monoprice switches. I was quite pleased with mine.
