Hello everyone,

This is my first post on the forum, just need a bit of help from the experts!

A friend of mine has an older set of speakers she wants to sell.

They are:

Paradigm Phantom v.3 (15-160W) [Fronts]
Paradigm CC-170 (15-120W)

Paradigm Atom v.3 [Bookshelf-Rear]
Paradigm PDR-10 v.3 [Subwoofer]

Under the cover the speakers are in excellent condition.
The cloth covers on the small speakers are a bit fuzzy (just the cloth).
The wood cabinets have a few small dings/scratches on them.

What would this set be worth currently? (In CDN dollars as we are in Canada)

Any help, estimates or opinions would be great!

I am looking to buy these soon, but I dont want to overpay.

Thanks,

Rob

I guess a good starting point would be to check eBay (worldwide and convert to CAD) to see if there are any there and compare the condition.

Next, you could check craigslist listings (assuming you have craigslist there).

Next you could check pawn shops and audio shops nearby.

That's the best that I can give you as I have not been price shopping for a little while now. Hopefully someone can give you some more advice.

Good Luck

I would add www.audiogon.com to the places to check.

I think anyone that gives you an exact number is likely to do this type of work to arrive at that number for you. Instead, just go check the typical A/V selling sites and locations and see if you can find other models which have sold and for how much.

I definitely use the feature on eBay that lets you search completed auctions so I can get an idea of how much I should expect to pay for something.
