Cambridge SoundWorks Newton Series M50 Bookshelf Speakers :SOLD

I am offering a pair of Cambridge Soundworks Newton Series M50 bookshelf loudspeakers with a beautiful mahogany real wood finish. They are in excellent condition and are a solid performer with both music or movies. I have used these in a smoke-free environment for a little less than a year and have been well cared for.

Each MDF enclosure features a beautiful real-wood veneer finish and contains a 5 1/4" driver and a 1" silk fabric tweeter. I, personally, have found these speakers to be quite neutral and perform best with music, coupled with a well calibrated subwoofer for a full sound stage. They perform quite well with movie soundtracks as well, however their ability to provide a clean, unadulterated signal allows these to reproduce music as the sound engineer intended.

All of the speakers in the Newton Series line feature CSW's finest drivers, precision internal crossover design and elegant enclosures. Great care has been taken in order to combine audiophile-level details and reasonable cost. These speakers may be positioned vertically or horizontally on any flat, stable surface.

Brand new these go for $299, I am asking $170 with shipping included in the price. I am willing to consider reasonable offers as well. For photos of these speakers, follow this link. For the specifications and additional detail on these, check out CSWs website here.

In addition to the M50s, I will be posting shortly a listing for an MC400 that was used with these as a center for roughly the same price, likely a little less as its not in as good condition. While the MC400 is a bit bigger than these, all three of these timbre matched perfectly as they both contain the same driver and tweeter. For the specifications and additional detail on the MC400, see CSWs website here. For those interested in all three, I will be willing to discount the price.

Any questions, just let me know... -TD

***These are sold***

Bump for an excellent seller. I bought a receiver from Tom and the transaction went perfectly.

Thanks for the bump, Matt, always appreciated...

Fortunately, someone is interested in these and I have sold them. These are nice speakers for the money, both musically and aesthetically, hopefully their (soon to be) new owner feels the same way.

Thanks again! ;) -TD

ps
How's the 330 treatin' ya? Just out of curiosity, when I come across any of your postings related to the 330, I always have to check and make sure it's behaving itself... :p

LOL, missed that.

It has worked great so far and I plan on keeping it for a few years at least. It doesn't get much of a workout with those efficent BICs but it does the job none-the-less. It's just sitting in my HT now probably collecting dust as my wife is scared to use the room in fear she might mess something up. In fact, she unplugged everything due to thunderstorms back in June and as far as I know nothing has been plugged in since.

Good to hear, bud, forgot your (hopefully) temporary relocation. While it is nice if the wives can use the system while your gone, it does provide a little peace of mind knowing that they're a little scared to mess something up. At least this way you know it's likely to be in the same shape you left it in... :p

Take care, Matt, be safe... -TD

I gave her a demo on how to use everything before I left and with the Harmony remote it's literally a one button setup to watch movies. She say's it is my room and she doesn't like to watch movies in there without me.;)

You're not alone, dude. I'd guess about 75-80% of us (HT enthusiasts/nuts) have a decent remote, I have the Harmony myself in my secondary setup for her, but even then, I think it seems a bit daunting to them, so they prefer not to use it unless it's necessary.

I've joked w/ my wife in the past that if it were up to the majority of women, we'd still be watching black and white 19" massive console TVs with only three stations to choose from while listening to transistor radios. Scary part is she almost wholeheartedly agreed... :D -TD
