I wasn't saying they aren't shipped in containers- just about everything is. I meant they're placed on pallets FOR shipping in containers- I can't think of a reason they would be loose and able to move. When I worked at a stereo store, we used to receive large orders by semi and when the quantity of some models was large enough, the boxes were on pallets, strapped down- this was before cling wrap. I don't know if they actually count the quantity once it lands, but if the seal isn't broken, they may just count it the same as when it left the point of origination. The main ports were Long Beach, Chicago and New Jersey for most electronics.
Definitely easier to roll a forklift into a container using pallets rather than hand stacking but somewhat depends on what you're shipping and from where. Gotcha now about the securing to the pallet....straps definitely fell out of favor when shrink wrap became common.....I've seen some absolute artistry with a guy on a forklift with the wrap circling pallets like some sort of a ballet. Pallets aren't considered a proper unit of quantity and since shrink wrap isn't really a seal you'd generally double check the carton count unless you're just very trusting :) and hope someone didn't stick an empty carton or two in the middle. So many claim issues used to arise from when people didn't check. Chicago may get containers delivered by train intact....and you would count Seattle in the list of ports, too.

Never seen a relay on a relatively new receiver stay in the closed position- it's more likely failure of another component.

Are you using a separate amplifier?
I am surprised too. All other functions are working normal. I am not using a separate amplifier.
