I've upgraded my Sanyo Z4 to the Epson last month. I'm not sure I'm getting all that it is capable of in terms of black level. As an example When I display projector on screen menus, the background in the menu is much blacker than the areas I would expect to be black in the images from a BluRay disk (e.g. letterbox black bars).
I've followed the tips on setting from projectorcentral.com epson_home_cinema_8350_projector_review.htm. Any other ideas that can be implemented w/o calibrating device?
