My question is how do I calculate the proper air volume needed for optimal performance on 4ea ceiling mounted speakers. As of now they are hung 10’ off the ground in wooden frames suspended with wires in my garage theater. Screwed to the bottom of wooden frames is roughly 12” X 12” squares of sheet rock. I used a 10” X 10” X 6” cardboard box and filled the volume up mostly with some 2” thick (dense poly foam?) with just a bit of extra dead air right where driver goes. I made to of these “speaker backs” that I sealed to the back side of sheet rock. I’m setting up 4ea for my Atmos speakers. My question is would it add any performance to add any additional air volume for a Pyle pdic80 300 watt speaker? I’ve actually used the same box with the 2” foam installed on the outside. I used some polyester fiber fill I had lining the inside. I tried to attach a photo but it seams any photo I attempt to take is too large to attach to post. I maybe can go zip a couple photos and return to add if that would help. My first post so my apologies if I’ve skipped observed protocol. Thank you very much.

You can also use an external photo site and link.
