From what I can tell, here is how they make high end power cords:
1. Buy some thick cable.
2. Wrap it with Tech Flex (this is basically required, link:
http://www.techflex.com/ )
3. Terminate it with something flashy.
4. Wrap the ends with heat shrink. If you skipped step 3, then just buy some 4:1 heat shrink and cover the regular looking power cord end to make it look jazzy.
5. Screen print name.

Here is one where they bought THREE cables, then had their 8 year old braid it! But they bought a lighted end so you can drop the voltage a bit before it gets to your equipment.
