I wouldn't recommed that material or Polyfill as both are not good cabinet dampening materials. The only foam I could recommend is acoustic foam made by Auralex, but that can be pricey. If you want a high quality inexpensive material to dampen a cabinet with I would highly recommend either using OC705 or 8Lb Mineral board with the later being one-quarter to one-third the price of the former.

If you are using a vented enclosure you will likely want to wrap the material with some cloth as it isn't somethihing you want shooting out of the port. Also, if you use this material be sure to wear gloves and a mask as it isn't a good idea to breath.

One last thing to note: If you over stuff the cabinet low frequencies will be deadened slightly so you might need to play with the stuffing level a little. If you post what you are building along with dimensions and such I can make recommendations.

Does anybody have experience with this stuff?

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=260-525

Does it work any better than or equal to that of using poly fill?
The stuff linked is a gimmick. It has acoustical value, just not much. You would need to use several layers of the expensive linked material to match 2" of the material avaserfi recommended. And I am giving the above material the benefit of the doubt that it is as good as Auralex foam - which it may very well not be.

The goal is new cabinets for the speakers listed in my sig, the new cabs will be 42 inches x 12 wide x 6.79 deep internal dimensions. Rather a shallow box so I'm concerened about bass reflections back through the cone. The cabs the compononents are currently in are about 10 inches deep and damped with the original fiberglass that was in them as the old realistic speakers, and the boxes are only about 1.1 cu ft. which they should be about 2 cu ft. calculated with typical fill according to bassbox pro 6. What's intended if for the finished speakers to look "Oldschool" with a little better sound quality.
