Cabasse Xi - Anyone?

I am fairly new to the HT scene and as many I am looking to setup some nice stuff that will do for the next couple of years (hope so).

On the receiver end I am currently hesitating between

Yamaha RX-V757 or
Denon AVR 2105

For the speakers, since I have some space and design restrictions, I need slim floor standing speakers that look and sound great.
After reading a lot, I would like to try out

Cabasse Xi series or
Kef HTS 5001/6001

Both of these setups would be complemented by an already existing SVS 20-39Pci subwoofer.

Does any of you have any experience with the combination of equipment mentioned above?
I know that the listening test would be the only conclusive one but since it is hard to find a shop that can demonstrate this, it won't be easy to make it happen.

Just to let you know that I have in the mean time had the possibility to listen to Kef and Cabasse (with both Denon, Yamaha and Harman Kardon).

Although beautifully designed, the sound of the speakers leaves to be desired (not open and very ample bass - ok these are smaller speakers).

I have decided to go and look for some descent floorstanders - the quest goes on!

iam reading this thread after 6 years of delay , Audioholics should update and do some cleaning on thier end .
Anyhow do you still need to know about Cabasee ???
