Buying shoes online?

Anyone do this and if so, who do you shop with? I need new running shoes and will only buy New Balance(All Terrains for that matter) which seem to be the only shoes that fit my feet comfortably. Forget Nike, worst running shoes ever IMHO and the majority of Reeboks.

I currently have the NB 603's.

When I bought my last pair of boots, I bought them from shoebuy.com through amazon.com. The price wasn't incredible, but decent; but they did have free shipping (both ways, if a return was required) and they did have the item in stock unlike every other site that was offering the same item for a half reasonable price.

I've bought cycling shoes online from nashbar.com also. The shipping was the slowest I've ever experienced, but they did arrive.

I buy shoes from a company called Wissota Trader www.wissotatrader.com

I wear a large size that's not easy to get (11 1/2 EEEE)

The New Balance 964 is on sale right now

...more than a similar moniker...11 EEE/EEEE depending on style/mfr/etc...

Have you tried these folks:

http://www.wideshoes.com

I have about five or six pairs of assorted shoes (casual/work/dress) and shoe trees ordered from their catalog...I haven't purchased anything from them in a while, but I thought they had a good selection, if a bit pricey...you might want to check them out...

Well,

I make a thread about asking for a reputable website for buying shoes, and get squat.

Then Matt does it, and everyone is here kissing his feet and whatever else he wants to stick on them.

Let's see, how close are you to a shopping mall? Where is the closest shoe store in Iraq?

These shoes don't exist in BC, let alone Canada anymore! Maybe if you read my thread you'd understand that. :p Zappos, the only site that has the shoe in my size (16.... 11.5) doesn't ship to Canada, but they ship to Iraq (APO address).

And they made YOU a moderator, phhfft.

A little old kids shoes? FTW is that? These are skate shoes, and last time I checked, I can wear them and get away with it. :D :p

Ha ha, nice edit. No, I'm not. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to ride my big wheel.

I dunno, they both look pretty nerdy.

Why not get some Nike Shox? Best shoe I have ever owned. Over a year old and it looks brand new.

Nike's aren't comfortable for me at all. I run between 18-25miles a week and I absolutely have to have a shoe that's comfortable. I can now tell my current shoes are shot because I have gotten shin splints the last few days I've ran.

Reason I like black/grey shoes is because of the environments I run in. Light colored shoes stay clean for about 2 days then look awful.

...fifth post in the thread and you get all hissy...Who is everybody?

First off, Matt asks for a reliable place to buy shoes not a specific shoe (and BTW, those are for twelve-year olds IMO)...Majorloser gives him a site...which doesn't carry children's shoes...someone else mentions amazon.com and I give Majorloser a wide-shoe outfit I have had luck with in the past (who also don't sell kiddie shoes)...so what is your problem? Not enough nap time?

Is this actually a realization of the old shoe size vs. IQ joke...

AND you rarely find adult males who want a specific shoe for casual wear...I always thought that to be within the purview of the fairer sex...

Matt, now that you have 'em, rest and getting off hard surfaces are the only cure I know of for shin splints. Painful buggers...I once had 'em for 6 months. :(

Maybe you should actually read my thread.

Sorry Matt. Moderloser, you can remove my posts if you like.

Indeed, they are painful. I just run through them though. No pain, weight gain. :D
