I've bought 3 Denons from them. My only complaint was the shipping method since they use DHL for regular shipping, which is the WORST carrier in the business. I would demand a different carrier.

Now, it seems like their shipping charges are outrageous. I think for a little Denon 2930CI, eCost charges $75 for regular shipping. I asked them why the big increase in shipping fee, and they could NOT give me a good answer.

Their answer was, "Well, that's just how much it costs to ship now."

Maybe they changed shipping carrier? But it still should not cost more than $25 to ship a little DVD-2930CI.

I bought my Denon receiver from them as well. No problems either, except as mentioned they used DHL who blows. I ended up having to go to the Post Office  to pick up my receiver. But it works great and looked flawless.

I would buy there again.

Yeah, I just went back and the shipping price went down again. For me, it showed $19. Maybe too many people complained.:D

Well I think I see your problem:

Location: Krypton

I'll bet that comes up 'international' in their system... :D

On a more serious note, I've purchased three or four items from them, a few receivers as well and only once had and issue that was quickly resolved with some level-headed reasoning.

I'd recommend using them w/the cost savings, so long as you can deal with the short warranty period and their use of DHL, though I haven't had any problems with them... -TD

MHO I wouldnt touch them with a ten foot pole. I don't care how great the savings is. The savings is worthless if they cant stand behind the products they sell. There is a reason why their ratings are that pathetic. :D
98% of those people are unsatisfied(ok, maybe not 98%, but still pretty bad). There IS a reason for it. LMAO.
You are just asking for trouble. I saw them selling the Onkyo 805 for $400ish and once I saw their ratings. I didn't even think twice. I rather pay $600 from a store I know I can take it back if I had a problem than $400 for a place I know even the Devil can't trust. There is an old saying "If it sounds too good to be true........."

There's also the saying, "No risk, no reward". Most of the receivers (if not all) they sell are refurbished, hence the price difference. Of course buying a refurbished product is a risk, but in my experience, I've been fortunate enough to have very good success with places like eCost and uBid with refurbished products.

Personally, I take online rating and feedback with a grain of salt. It might give you an idea, but it's also open to undue praise or negativity, as there's little to no safeguards on validation of this information.

To each his/her own, maybe worth it to some, may not to others... -TD
