So to be clear. Start off with buying 1 svs PB-3000 over two PB-2000. Also if I buy a 3rd ome down the road after all the other upgrades is it ok to do say a smaller same brand?
Ideally you want to matching sub model.. not just brand. Perhaps William or Lovin' can explain that better than I.

For that kind of money you'd get better performance from a pair of Hsu VTF 3 mk5s IMO.

I was just looking at that. 1550.00 for 2 of them. So that would be better then 2 pb-2000@ I think 1300.00 or the pb-3000@1400.00

Price just keeps going up! I'm not sure if I can spend that kind of money. The old lady is going to kill me! Lol

This seems like the best value out there. Haven’t shopped monolith but seems another good option.

1550 is a great deal actually. You CAN start with one, and then start squirreling for the second right away.

LOL watch out a basshead enabler like me can get ya divorced or sleeping on the couch in no time! Plus it's 1549 plus shipping :). I'm not married so never did need sub approval....but when I got my first one it was a leap of faith at a little over $900 some time back (with a now defunct brand, it was an Epik Empire, a dual opposed 15" sealed sub....sort of the poor man's Seaton Submersive of the time :) ).

Sorry wrong on pricing.
X1 pb-3000 = 1400.00 800rms 16hz 13"
X2 pb-2000 = 1500.00 500rms 17hz 12"
X2 VTF-3 MK5 = 1550.00 600rms 18hz 15"

My three options there was another mentioned. Think it started with a r?

Made me go look at the single price and it's $759 so better to order two singles, think Hsu screwed up there a bit as shipping is 96 for one 192 for two.....

Keep shipping added in and see my new post about single pricing on the VTF3 mk5 (might want to call Hsu and see what's up, might supposed to be 1459 for the dual deal). Rythmik and Power Sound Audio are two other main ID sub guys recommended....altho if you want to spend a bit more I'd steer you to Seaton or JTR.

rythmik. I almost bought from them, but a sale at outlaw pulled me in that direction.

Shes not on my ass much. But explaining 1500+ dollars of two subs might be hard. Lol. Guess we will find out.

might as well introduce him to Funk, at that point. Ha!
@CWM if you go single Hsu, consider the difference between the 3 and the 15. might be worth the step up. and start saving for the second!

I really want to start off with two! Why I'm so far now leaning towards the hay 3

Oh and really don't focus on the amp wattage capabilities, without knowing sensitivity it doesn't mean anything really (altho bigger is good)....doesn't mean one of those "500 watt" subs will have more performance than a "300 watt" sub. Takes a doubling of amp power to get 3 dB.....
