This is a great thread! I'm thinking about the very same box!! I am wringing my hands over sealed or ported box. I am more concerned with tight sounding bass than poor BOOM as I would think that even if I go with a sealed box..this combo will produce some serious shaking bass..NO?

just my two cents worth, but I would go 15.5 x 15.5 x 10.5 to increase the linearity of the speaker and avoid hiting the max excusion with only a deficit of about 3 db at 5 hz, and less than 2 db at 20 hz

This configuration takes you from 1.588 cu. ft. to 1.021 cu.ft.

Which driver are you using again? What are the T/S parameters?

This will most likely raise the "Q" of the enclosure (if sealed) much too high.
