I've got a townhouse, with an odd shaped basement, I know I won't get the best sound from it, but I do have a question regarding placement of the sub.
In the corner to the left of where I will have the lcd tv is a closet. I plan on not having a door on it, and building a rack inside for the a/v equipment. The floor is cement slab. I would like to place the sub underneath this rack/cabinet, but am afraid of vibrations. My plan is to build a wall from the floor about 2 feet, and then having the cabinet reside above it in the remainder of the closet. I would then place a sub, (unsure what type at this point) on the concrete under it, and have a grille of some sort covering the hole I'd put in this 2' high wall. Would I need to build a subfloor to raise the lever of the subwoofer to the height of the outlet vent? Is it even a good idea to have the sub so near the a/v equipment? Thanks
