Hello I want to buy a Pioneer SC-35 from Amazon 3rd party seller for $850. Should I be worried at all about how cheap the price is?

Also, Pioneer's website says they don't service warranty for anything bought online. I looked up a place called SquareTrade, does anybody have any experience with them?

Welcome to the forum! I bought my VSX-23 from Best Buy back in 2009, and a couple of months later my buddy saved a lot of money buying a VSX-21 from a third party on Amazon. He was happy with the transaction, but it very well might not be the same company that you're looking at. I paid extra for piece of mind, but I haven't brought mine in for any warranty work.

Amazon offers some protection if you buy through them, but I'm not aware of that extending beyond 30 days (I haven't read their policy lately). My best advice is to read the feedback on the company that others have left, hopefully from a lot of reviews. If a product is sold by a third party but fulfilled by Amazon, then you know that Amazon has it in their warehouse and will ship it - so no chance that someone is just going to take your money.

Hello, thanks. They do have a lot of reviews and all seem fairly positive. The seller is hookedontronics and they have a website too. They seem fairly reputable although they offer nothing outside of the manufacturer warranty.. and as I understand there is none lol. So I guess what I am most worried about is making sure if it breaks down 6 months from now I won't be screwed.

Do you know how much money you would save by buying online versus locally? That can help with deciding if it's worth the risk. Typically, electrical equipment is going to fail fairly quickly at the beginning of its life (so probably within 30 days), or later on in its life. Stuff like mechanical switches (and in my case, some buttons on the remote) can wear out over time, so that's something that a warranty might help you with.

If you want warranty coverage, buy it from someone who's authorized. Period. Don't expect someone to come running to help you when you don't buy it from a real dealer. The site you're looking at may just be a liquidator and they don't/can't offer warranty if they're not authorized by Pioneer.
