Building a home theater?

You always expect an email response in such a short time? You need to have some patience, he's a small operation. Will shipping cost make a huge difference to your decision?
Not really, I am just getting eager.

I have seen sales email getting replied quickly, that's why. Meanwhile, I will order a YPAO mic from ebay for I don't have one.

LOL I know eager. Think I've seen mentioned in the $35-50 neighborhood depending on location....

I've failed to understand the point you are coming to.
He understands being eager to receive the speakers and he is guessing on the shipping cost. I fail to understand the failure to understand. :D

Me, not being a native English speaker, get confused sometimes with the language.

One thing about a quality sub is you can get better sound without having to crank it up. However, once it's sounding good, that's what we want to do.
I can second that, WL. I'm on the middle floor of a 3-floor apt building so I'm always cognizant of volume levels. I find myself enjoying music so much more after recently upgrading. I have a decent Hsu sub that could rattle the building. I'm listening to rather mellow stuff mostly, though (think Diana Krall, but dang, she sounds good now!) so I don't think I've ticked anyone off too much yet. Well, maybe when I watched Interstellar last weekend...

Oh yeah, I saw your "humble system". It's pretty nice! It would be hard not to get evicted with all that. Lol. 'Specially watching interstellar! I'm pretty lucky. Gave up apartment life a long time ago, and my neighbors on either side of me basically use their property as vacation homes. Yay me, turn it up!

I've just ordered AA's. The wait begins now as Dennis said he has a backlog and delivery can't happen until may 1st.

It'll be worth the wait. When you get them, please post your impressions. The AAs come very highly recommended.

So finally received my AA's and undoubtedly they are really good. Thanks guys for suggesting this.
For Listening music, I now change setup to 2 channel on my receiver so that only AA works. Bose kindda corrupts the sound. The sound it produces does not jell good enough with overall sounds when speaker set to 5.1 channel. It still sounds fine when set as DolbyProLogic. I think the reason is that prologic works selectively for surround speakers.
At this point I am thinking, will it make some more difference if I I get a center speaker from Philharmonics. It is just $125.

A center channel can help improve things for movies, tv etc. and $125 for one is a great deal. Though I'm wondering if you should focus on a sub next (do you already have one? I don't remember) or getting rid of those Bose speakers.

Did you say you listen to music in 5 channel or dolby? If I were you I'd run 2.0 or 2.1 always for music. As you acknowledged, those Bose speakers add nothing and degrade the sound. Most music is recorded in stereo anyway. Let those AA's shine.

Bringing this thread to life, hoping I get some help from the audio gurus here .

I made a huge mistake not buying center channel from Philharmonic. I see that he is not accepting any new orders anymore. Could you guys please suggest what will be the other best alternative ?

Which Philharmonic AAs do you have now? The ones based on Pioneer or the Dayton BR-1 kit (assume you don't have the ones he switched to towards the end from the date of your post)? Dennis has closed shop unfortunately for all of us, tho. If the Pioneer probably the CS-22 from the same series would still be a fairly good match , if the BR-1 you can still order one altho they come in pairs and you have to assemble them yourself! :)

I would look at the Infinity Reference 263, the SVS centers, or the Paradigm Premier centers. They will have a flat response and very wide off axis dispersion. Much better than any MTM design.
