As you guys saw in the other thread, my new seating arrived:)

I thought it was time to update photo's of my modest Buckeye Man-Cav.....'cuz it's always in a state of change.

The electronics components have not changed, but all the leather seating and component rack are new:)
The theater seats are Berkline and the sofa is a La-Z-boy.
TV is a 65" Mitsu
Yammi RXV-2500 receiver
DTV HD-DVR
Samsung BD-P1400 player
Klipsch
RF-82 fronts
RC-62 Center
RF-52 surrounds
RS-10 backs
SVS-PB12-Plus2 subwoofer
All the acoustic treatments on the walls/corners are GIK 244's, and the ceiling treatments are Auralex studio foam panels.

A shot of the new seats & couch....

The theater seats will be replaced because they were erroneously shipped with non-matching cupholders. They were special ordered to arrive without the wood trim around the cupholders, but 3 of 4 cupholders arrived with the wood trim anyway:mad:

This is a wide angle from the far side of the room that gives some perspective.... The room is 20feet deep where the chairs sit and the TV is pulled forward several feet so I have room to walk around behind the components/TV. PLUS... I wanted to get the TV as close to the primary seating as reasonably possible to make the screen size appear bigger!!
LOL....The primary seating distance from the screen is 11', which is pretty decent for a 65" screen.

Note that I've already opened my first beer:eek:

The other side of the room...

The only change here is I moved my Dolby/DTS signs from outside the entrance, to inside the room. I like them inside the room better, plus I didn't like them at the room entrance because you could see them from outside the front door. .....don't want to give any crooks any ideas.

My plans for today are to sponge all day!! Round 2 of The Masters starts in 1 hour....then it will be movie-night for the rest of the night!!

Movies & Masters anyone?

It looks great B.E.N! Good show. :) How are the Auralex panels mounted to the ceiling? Have you done any critical before-and-after-panel-installation listening?

Where are the photos of celestial objects? ;)

Thanks..

The ceiling panels were a pain in the neck to hang...literally. I first tried glue, but it didn't work. I made a real glue mess behind the first panel. I then used nails.... LOTS OF THEM!!...lol Tiny small ones.... It took a ton of them to eliminate any and all the sags.

I had two major issues with the lower section of ceiling. Firstly...it was a major light reflection eyesore when the lights were off (like a spotlight) and the panels fixed the problem. The rest of the ceiling is obscured in shadow, so now my ceiling completely vanishes along with the rest of the room during movie time. Secondly.....I felt like I could hear the sound reflections blasting off the lower surface and directly into my face before, and since....I don't notice it anymore. They serve two purposes:)

Nice set-up! I really like the poster of The Incredibles.

thanks...

It's a special 40"x30" UK size. ....perfect for what I needed on that space.

Looking very good.

I need to take some pictures of my very simple setup soon, pale in comparison to Buckeye's theater.:o

Looks heavenly...

...and probably smells heavenly -- love all that leather!
Very nice space you have created there Buckeye -- colors are inviting and 'rich'.
I too love the Incredibles poster, when is that bad boy due out on BD? It is one of my reference DVD's; just curious.
Great job, thank you for sharing.

chux
