I am seriously considering buying the E50 for a second system, but I am also interested in the Dynaudio contour 20i and the Dali Rubikore 2. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I have not heard the E50 but I have heard the contour 20i and I owned a pair of Dali Helicon 300MKII's. I almost bought the contour 20i as an upgrade to the Dali's. I thought they had a bit more low end punch. I ended up with KEF Reference 1's due to an excellent deal but would have been very happy with the Dynaudio's as well.

Based on the measurements of the E50 that would be my first choice then the Dynaudio next. The Purifi woofer vs the Esotar 2i and with a 2 way speaker I'm going to choose the Purifi with its low distortion and more of the frequency range it covers.

I like the Dynaudio a lot and almost pulled the trigger on the 30i but a pair of Salk speakers became available that I had wanted. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Dynaudio has a long history of excellent engineering and transparent-sounding drivers. Buchardt OTOH uses large waveguides on the tweeter which has tremendous benefits for controlling dispersion and increasing tweeter power handling and lowering distortion. A friend has active Buchardts and he quite likes the sound, especially since the room correction fixed a huge bass hole he had.
