I would imagine that criminal charges would apply to anyone who is trespassing on private property and causing intentional damage to personal property in regards to vehicles or anything else. Will charges be filed ? probably not...why ? because the stars understand that the paparazzi are part friend, part foe. Who keeps these people in the headlines long after their 15 minutes should be done and over with...the paparazzi...who hypes up half of these untalented pretty boys and girls so their latest work of art,and i mean that lightly, sells beyond what should be expected...the paparazzi. Who lends a voice when these actors and actresses think they have some sort of viable social commentary they need to make...the press and the paparazzi...So,i could care less if some airheaded dimwit is bothered in between visiting the newest club or social event. If a photographer is on private property..have him arrested...if a photographer rams their car so they can get a picture of some schmuck with surprised, bulging eyes...have them arrested. I'm sorry, but i fail to see how criticizing the very same people they depend on is going to do absolutely anything. As far as privacy goes,i dont remember anything in the constitution that specifically guarantees a right to privacy when you are out in public view. But,then again....its not like the constitution is taken very seriously these days anyway.

All good points, gentlemen. I just feel sorry for the child actors who are thrust into this lifestyle and that have to put up with this stupid crap just to be in this profession - can you say Macaulay Culkin? Look what happened to that poor bastard. I don't think he can step outside his house without bursting into tears!!

This thread has definitely taken a wrong turn!!

Leaving aside the, um, bizarre tangents this thread has taken, Armstrong is an inspiration even to this wheezing middle-aged recreational biker, and every other person I ride with. And I don't even follow bike racing.

I do know that there's a lot of strategy and head games involved in winning major endurance races like the Tour -- it's part of the sport -- and knowledgable fans tell me that Armstrong is a master of that aspect too, besides his awesome physical prowess and focus.

Other top racers have the technology, training, and support Armstrong has, just as the greats of the past like Eddy Merckx had. But guys like Armstrong and Merckx were still first across the finish more often than not.

I'll never forget him referring to a thirty-mile long stage as a "sprint".
