Bose are good

ok, now that I have your attention, went over to a friends newly built house this weekend. He has spent big money on the entire house including the A/V system. Best part of the entire house, the bose 5.1 in the main TV area. The rest of the sound systems, which wasn't low end stuff, sounded HORRIBLE. I now know what a boomy bass sounds like. One tower speaker wasn't even working. He had speakers everywhere in the basement, to the point of reflections and delay made it difficult listen. So, sometimes Bose is better

No one ever said Bose was the worst you can do, but more that for what you get, you pay way too much. Like Spiffyfast recently posted, a high-end Bose system has sound comparable to an entry-level Sony HTiB.

BLOSE may not be the worst there is but it is right at the top of the list of worst for the money. If you want worse maybe those white van speakers are. Even then, I'm not sure if they're worse than BLOSE.
